John was born in Losser, The Netherlands where he received his education and graduated with an Intermediate Agriculture Diploma. John immigrated to Canada in 1971. He was very attracted to the wide open fields in Southern Alberta. John worked in the farming and feedlot industry around Iron Springs for 34 years. In 2005 that career ended as a result of a feedlot accident. That injury lead John to a career in Real Estate which he truly enjoys.
John is married to Maggie and they have 5 children and 7 grandchildren. Family and friend are most important to John as is working hard.
John loves to be involved in the community. He has been a member of the Picture Butte Elks for 35 years and has been the treasure for the past 20 years. Currently John is the President of the Chamber of Commerce in Coaldale. He also serves on the Coaldale Library Board. He has been the chairman of the Coaldale Candy Parade as well as the Country Christmas Lights Parade for the past 2 years.
John has been a Licensed REALTORŪ since 2006. He is known to be honest, friendly and always willing to go the extra mile. John loves to help his clients achieve their goals whether it involves buying or selling their properties.
